Spiritual Direction:

Spiritual direction is the process by which I invite you to pay attention to your own experience—helping you to listen ever more deeply as you notice the movement in your life, discover its source, and with a growing sense of freedom choose an appropriate response. I listen with you as you identify the presence and action of God in your everyday life.

Spiritual Formation:

Spiritual formation differs from spiritual direction in that I spend more time talking. I help you look at reasons, resources and rituals for the spiritual journey. Drawing from my work as a chaplain, I take a more active role in offering suggestions for the faith journey, especially during times of transition. This may involve practices with the body, Focusing, writing, Scripture, theological reflection, the Ignatian Exercises, the Enneagram, guided meditation, or prayer.

Retreats:

Private day or overnight retreats are available at Stony Hill Farm in rural Wisconsin outside of Madison. Our retreat house is surrounded by acres of wooded trails and prairie for outdoor reflection. A session of spiritual direction is available upon request. Guided retreats and workshops are also available. Quiet Days of Prayer, Writing Workshops, The Enneagram and The Ignatian Exercises are among the retreats offered.  View Upcoming Retreats
